En el proceso de briquetado, las part\u00edculas se compactan en un tama\u00f1o mayor y m\u00e1s utilizable mediante un proceso en seco en el que los polvos se forman en formas. La densificaci\u00f3n del producto se obtiene mediante compresi\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica a trav\u00e9s de una prensa de doble rodillo. <\/p>\n

El briquetado es adecuado cuando los productos contienen materiales tanto finos como m\u00e1s gruesos. Se puede briquetear material con un di\u00e1metro de hasta 6 mm. Se necesitan menos aglutinantes debido a la alta compactaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica inherente al proceso. <\/p>\n

Los procesos de peletizaci\u00f3n est\u00e1n bien establecidos. Esta opci\u00f3n se prefiere cuando el proceso requiere un tama\u00f1o de producto m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o pero no alta durabilidad. En el proceso de extrusi\u00f3n, el material h\u00famedo se fuerza o presiona a trav\u00e9s de una matriz para dar forma a un producto con un perfil de secci\u00f3n transversal fija. La extrusi\u00f3n puede ser continua (produciendo materiales largos) o semicontinua (produciendo muchas piezas). El proceso de extrusi\u00f3n se puede realizar con material caliente o fr\u00edo. <\/p>\n

Se pueden extruir productos con alto contenido de arcilla y humedad y con fracciones de tama\u00f1o inferiores a 2 mm. Los beneficios de la extrusi\u00f3n son que conduce a altos vol\u00famenes de producci\u00f3n.
